Habitat for Humanity

Habitat for Humanity staff volunteers
Solutions 2 GO partnered with Habitat for Humanity to build affordable housing for families in poverty. We donated $2 million dollars worth of LED light bulbs to assist on the new builds, and had two teams of employees attend Corporate Build Days, pitching in to construct a new home. It was a fantastic way to make a relevant and tangible contribution to our community.

Annual Camp Oochigeas Invitational Golf Tournament
In partnership with Sony PlayStation Canada, Solutions 2 GO hosts an annual golf tournament which, through the generosity and support of our sponsors, has raised almost $1 million in funding over the past 9 years.
Camp Ooch is the only residential camp in Ontario that provides on-site IV chemotherapy and blood transfusions, creating an environment where children affected by childhood cancer can escape from the everyday, and where cancer treatment and campfire sing-a-longs co-exist.

Environmental Sustainability
Solutions 2 GO is committed to protecting natural resources and reducing our environmental footprint. Over the last several years, we have focused our efforts on energy, packaging and solid waste, to make the biggest difference.

  • In our Miami location, we created a “greener” building by installing activity-based energy efficient lighting in the office and warehouse.
  • In our Canadian locations, all of our kitchenettes were outfitted with new water filtration systems to cut down on plastic water bottle waste.
  • We initiated a companywide recycling program to cut down on many types of waste including plastic and glass bottles, aluminum and steel cans, cardboard, newspapers and magazines.

Halton Women’s Place
Halton Women’s Place offers a safe haven for abused women and their children, as well as information, education and support. Each year Solutions 2 GO sponsors a family from Halton Women’s Place during the holiday season, providing them with gifts and various donations.

Holiday Food Drive
In another small act of kindness, Solutions 2 GO manages a food drive for the Kerr Street Ministries during the holiday season. Thanks to our generous employees, we donate a significant amount of non-perishable foods to help those in need every year.

Philippines Disaster Relief
In 2013, a typhoon struck the Philippines affecting more than 9.5 million people. Many of our employees had family and friends who were impacted by the disastrous storm. We created a campaign to raise funds and awareness for humanitarian assistance. Our goal was $10,000, and we proud to say that we surpassed it – raising more than $14,750. With matching contributions from Solutions 2 GO and our two owners, we collectively raised almost $60,000 for the Salvation Army and the Red Cross.
